Block 150 of 368
This block came from thinking about nesting blocks. What other simple classic blocks are nestable?
And the nested four patch was born! Each 4 patch is 2 times the size of the one smaller, starting with a 1/4 inch 4 patch.
I also enjoyed setting the neutral block as a diagonal line. I may play with the possible layouts more - it would be fun to see how turning it 90 degrees with each larger block would look!
For the back i found a fun red that will echo the one red fabric from the front. For the quilting i did straight lines in the ditch of the sewing, and also echoing the nested 4 patches for an illusion quilting style. So fun!
