Block 34 of 368 replacement revised

I have been staring at the block 34 I made and it just bugged me.  I liked the components but the overall just wasn't working.

Tonight on a whim I put these orange squares together.  I had cut a bazillion 1.5" squares many moons ago and have had them in baggies by color for an eon. Put 16 of them together and... Hmmmm, THAT looks cool with a lace leaf...

I like this version.  There will be more 1 inch block backgrounds coming I imagine!
