Block 49 of 368
This one was inspired by perusing pics online of modern quilting. I loved how it translated into the small size. I often forget to play with color blocking as I tend to like random colors and tones.
This was put together with scraps of green. I chose 6 green fabrics and cut strips of the white. I then cut in random lines and sewed the diagonals. At that point I put the blocks in 3 rows of 2 and decided where I wanted the centered. Sewed in the horizontal sashing and squared it off after echo quilting the white lines created. It created interesting movement and color study. Fun stuff!
