Blocks 37 thru 40 of 368 replacements

I looked at pictures of modern quilt blocks online and was inspired by some string quilt blocks.  I decided to do a series I will set in a 2 x 2 block set.  I took a white printed fabric for the center string and bordered it with the same black print fabric I am using for the front sashing.  I then did random "strings" out of scrap fabric strips.

The quilting is a fun sample of machine stitches I use a lot for borders.  Love how it came out!
