This block was made as a companion to a block I will be using for a mug rug. I used the same fabrics but changed the placement on each a bit.
The pattern is a paper piece pattern from Carol Doaks book 40 Bright & Bold Paper-Pieced Blocks. I adapted the pattern to 4 & 8 inches.
This is a fine example of how some fabrics work better in larger pieces. The mini block loses some contrast due to the size of the prints on the fabric. But I still like it!
For the quilting I did quilting in the ditch to highlight the star shaping.
