Block 28 of 368
This block is an attempt at a Baltimore quilting style block. Baltimore appliqué tends to be fairly complex in a 12 inch or larger size. Miniaturizing it into 4 inches takes a bit of imagination.
My first try is called Lilac Time, an original pattern by Ruthann Logsdon Zaroff.
I took a bit of artistic license and instead of yo-yos for the flowers I used a fuzzy sateen and just cut small circles I then overlapped, glued down with fabric glue, and quilted with a random leaf.
