Block 98 of 368
This block was a test to myself to try making flying geese a semi-traditional way instead of using paper piecing.
And I am reminded why I use paper piecing for flying geese.  My geese ALWAYS wind up smaller than they should!  So, for this block I framed it with a cream batik.  Then squared it tilted a bit for more movement.
My favorite discovery while doing this block was the decorative stitch i used on my machine.  no idea what it is called, but its a wavy stitch.  I love the movement it creates.  You can expect to see more of this stitch moving forward!
