Block 34 of 368 Replacement

I did this one a couple of days ago.  The highlighted work is skeleton lace leaves.  Made by hand with a combination of yarns, floss and cords.  I LOVE the unique results.

I decided to make this a simple appliqué. The quilting is some freehand leaves, and the dimensional leaves are tacked down with clear thread.  The last photo gives an idea of the depth and dimension.  

I am making more leaves and may use them in a later block, and in the quilt guild fall quilt we are making.  Learned something new!
