I felt the urge to do something a bit traditional - then got sidetracked by this paper pieced ray of sunshine.  Simple paper piecing with a slightly off center perspective.

I chose my background and scrounged some yellow and orange shaded scraps.  I liked the summer pinks and red for the edges.  Follow the paperpiecing pattern and then sandwich and quilt in matching colored threads.  Can't wait to see how it will look once added to the quilt!
